About

I specialize in comprehensive gastroenterology with a focus on inflammatory bowel disease, Barrett’s esophagus and therapeutic endoscopy. I work hard to provide patient-centered, safe, effective and timely care to each of my patients. I enjoy meeting patients and really try to listen to their needs and concerns, allowing me to personalize their care with an evidence-based approach. I love that The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center strives to balance excellence in patient care with research and medical education. It’s this balance that eventually drew me back to join the faculty. It’s exciting to be part of a healthy, growing division with great subspecialty services. This academic setting also spoke to me because of my passion for teaching. The medical center allows me to be involved with teaching and mentoring students, residents and fellows during their training. In terms of research, most recently I have published works about colorectal cancer screening and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) in sleep. I’m also working on medical education projects. When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my young kids and wife, traveling and watching and playing sports.
