About
As an obstetrician–gynecologist at NYU Langone, my philosophy centers on the belief that medicine is not one size fits all. I strive to understand each patient's unique needs and goals, ensuring they are well-informed and actively involved in their care decisions. The variety and complexity of obstetrics and gynecology drew me to this specialty, and I find immense fulfillment in guiding patients through some of the most significant moments of their lives. I specialize in managing routine labor and delivery, pre-labor emergencies, obstetric emergencies, ectopic pregnancies, and ovarian torsion. With extensive training and years of experience, I am well-equipped to handle a wide range of conditions affecting reproductive-age women. My role as part of the obstetrics and gynecology hospitalist team at the New Life Center ensures that patients receive consistent and high-quality care, regardless of the time of day. Throughout my career, I have focused on proactive healthcare engagement, emphasizing the importance of patient education and informed consent. One memorable experience during my residency involved a patient who was transferred from a birth center to the hospital. She was initially upset about the transfer, but through open communication and understanding her goals, we found a safe compromise. Her positive feedback and satisfaction with the outcome reinforced my commitment to patient–provider communication. My journey into medicine began with a background in biomedical engineering, where I was fascinated by the tools used in medical practice. However, I soon realized my true passion lay in the patient experience and the human side of medicine. This led me to pursue a career in obstetrics and gynecology, where I could combine my interest in the operating room with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients' lives. At NYU Langone, I am proud to collaborate with my colleagues to provide coordinated and seamless care for my patients.
