About
As a board-certified family medicine physician with a specialization in adolescent medicine, I listen to my patients and build partnerships with them to help them achieve their unique health care goals. I am particularly interested in teen and adolescent medicine, specifically eating disorders, as well as preventive medicine and disease management. Some of the conditions I treat include hypertension, asthma, anxiety, depression and diabetes. I am passionate about providing holistic care to patients by addressing their physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs. I also love teaching and mentoring medical students, residents and fellows and am humbled by the compliments I receive about my commitment to education. As a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Medicine, I am honored to now serve as a faculty member. I received an outstanding education at Ohio State and was privileged to work with wonderful mentors. I strive to mentor current Ohio State students and residents with the same passion and dedication with which I was trained. When I’m not working, I enjoy performing and listening to classical music, especially Baroque music. I am very involved in church music and serve as a church organist and accompanist. I also play the piano, trumpet and guitar, and enjoy reading about history and musical history. I like to exercise with weight training and cardio, and am a former swimmer. My family and I enjoy eating out and experiencing different kinds of foods from different cultures. My wife, Jennifer Middleton, is a faculty physician at OhioHealth, where she teaches family medicine residents at Riverside Hospital and is the system director for faculty development. We have two daughters, Clara and Margaret.
